Autumn is one of two Sisters we kept from Summers last litter, although they look very similar they have very different personalities. Autumn is very much a carbon copy of her Mummy Summer. She has bags of drive but always likes a cuddle at the end of the day. She has one trait from her Dad which is herding and she has already shown some amazing natural talent. She is progressing very nicely with her sheep work training and we hope to be able to trial her next year.
Autumn has now starting to compete in flyball and despite her petite small frame she is posting some exciting times! She has already posted at 20 months old a PB of 3.54 seconds, with multiple 3.5 times on the clock too, WOW! This time puts her as the fastest Border Collie bitch in the WORLD in both 2019 and 2020! We are excited to see when her times will drop to as she matures however she has already shown herself to be a natural flyball dog. Not only is she hitting some seriously quick times she is also running them consistently through a days racing and did we mention she is also a 10" height dog!! She has taken to flyball like a natural, she became a divisional winner at the British Championships on her first show and followed that up with a 2nd place at the Indoor Championships on her second show! Autumn took to the green carpet at Crufts for the first time in 2020 and finished 5th.
She is a true working dog and is at her happiest when performing some form of task however she does have an off-switch and is often found curled up like a cat on as many pillows as she can get!
Autumn has also been honing her skills as a trick dog and she has excelled in learning lots of new behaviours. In a short space of time she has already gained her Novice, Novice Masters, Intermediate, Advanced and Expert Trick Dog Titles. We are now working on her Champion Title.
We took the opportunity of lockdown to take Autumn out for her first litter where she gave us our first home born lurcher litter. We are excited to see how these purpose bred sports mixes develop.
