Optic is from our first purpose bred lurcher litter for sports. His Dad is a Border Whippet who has been imported from the famous Painted Stars Farm Kennels in America. He has a PB of 3.40 and is a British and European record holder many times over in flyball. Optic's mum is over very own super star Autumn, with a PB of 3.54 putting her as the fastest collie bitch in the world. Optic has some incredible genes and we look forward to seeing how he develops.
He has now turned 13 months and is developing well. He is easily the biggest dog in the house measuring around 55cm at the withers but weighs a mere 16.5kg. He loves his cuddles and can often be found curled up in a little ball or snuggling with his Mummy Autumn. He has a strong chase drive and thoroughly enjoys a run with the pack on a big field but just like his Mum he is quite happy just taking himself for a run just because he loves to run.
Optic is progressing really well with his flyball training. We were concerned that due to his size he would struggle with a turn but he has shown himself to be surprisingly agile. He has now progressed to full runs and has a PB of 3.67 seconds at just 13 months old.
Optic has already been learning lots of new foundations which have seen him gain the Novice, Novice Masters, Intermediate, Intermediate Masters, Advanced, Advanced Masters and Expert trick dog titles! He is also well on the way to gaining his Champion Title.
