Flyte is a very small border collie, measuring at about 15/16ft at the shoulder! She has a very foxy type face and even has the bark to match which she likes to show off rather too often. She has a lovely temperament playing with those who will play and being quiet and calm with those who don't. She loves people, especially children and has passed these qualities to her puppies, two of which are Therapy Dogs. She takes after her Dad and likes to sleep on the windowsill and she loves getting cuddles. Flyte is a very quick learner and being a small dog she has incredible balance and much prefers to spend her time on two feet instead of 4!
Flyte competes in flyball where she has already gained her Platinum Award (25, 000 points). She is a great asset to the team as a fast 9" height dog and she is now hitting low 4 sec times . She absolutely loves Flyball and turns into a little crazed monster barking away and bouncing around as she waits for her turn to go. She has recently competed at the first Indoor British Championships where she helped her team win their division and then the year after helped them win again.
Flyte has now had a few seasons competing in agility and has taken to it like a duck to water, she loves it, especially the A Frame. She has already made her way into Senior Performance and Champion Steeplechase at UKA and also competed at the 2016 and 2017 UK Agility Grand Finals. She is now in Grade 6 at KC and already has 2 wins towards Grade 7 where she has also gained her Bronze and Silver Agility Warrants.
We have now discovered that Flyte is a natural sheepdog and has a lovely relaxed working style, hopefully we will be working towards getting her to a trial! Flyte has always loved the water but recently she got to try her hand at Dock Dogs where on her first go she qualified for the finals where she jumped a very impressive 12.06ft from a standing start which put her at 20th in the Worldwide 'Lap Dog' Seeding's at that time!! I am hoping to be able to do some training for Dock Dogs and see just how far she can go with a run up...
Flyte has also been putting her skills to the test as a trick dog. She has gained her Novice, Intermediate, Advanced and Expert Trick Titles and will soon be working towards her Champion title.
Flyte has now had two stunning litters of puppies that are doing incredibly well in their chosen areas. Two have made superb Pets As Therapy dogs with one even being names PAT dog of the year 2017. Another is in the 2nd fastest Flyball team in the UK, running sub 4 seconds and helping her team smash records. From her second litter we have multiple sub 4 second dogs, cracking agility dogs plus some incredible medium agility girls who are rocking it.
Flytes latest adventure was appearing on TV! She competed on BBC's Sport Relief Top Dog and made it to the Semi Finals. She was amazing and loved the adventure, she has even come away with her own Twitter page and celebrity followers.
