Tithelea Harry Potter (Morse) has been to his first Working Trials Competition and he came first!!
The judge thought he was great and enjoyed his round no end. Report from his owner Ruth is that he had fab heelwork, perfect send away, magic clear and long jumps, and the fastest 3 articles out of the search square of the day!! We wont mention a quick roll during the down stays -
well there was sheep poo everywhere and you get bored lying still for 10 minutes!
He is loving his training, he got his bronze in the summer, has done some ralley obedience and got some lovely big rosettes to show for it. One of the attached photos was taken just before his 1st competition. We are now just starting tracking - and it is spooky how quickly he has understood what he needs to do to find his food/toys. He is currently fast asleep next to me on the settee, ignoring one man and his dog! Both dogs are enjoying the snow.~
Message from Morse:
Dear Dad, Happy Birthday. I have attached some photos taken today of me (I am very clever).. Uncle Tig has his birthday today as well so I hope to share in his goodies. I am practising walking beside my person, sittting and lying without moving while my person wanders about. she eventually comes back with food so i sit tight and am very good at this. I love playing tug leave tug leave tug. I can leave food too. I have also learned to fetch a piece of hose and give it into my persons hand - she was very pleased when i learned this. I might be going to our local summer fair where i might be doing something called a bronze on sunday. We went to one nearby last week (to socialise apparently) when i came 4th in a beauty parade of other puppies. I got a rosette, but was not allowed to shred it unfortunaely as it looked VERY shreddable.Anyway happy birthday Dad, have a lovely day. Uncle Tig is being boring and has gone to sleep - my person says to say hi to your person.
Your son Tig
Just to give you an update of morse, he is enjoying going out and about and is enjoying his training. He loves toys and his clicker - i asked for a sit down and stand for the photos. His stay is progressing and he loves weaving around the flowerpots and "walking the plank" along a little homemade 6inch off the ground plank. I am just starting to teach him to lie flat and do an emerency stop. He walks nicely on the lead and loves being made a fuss of! He loves playing wih other dogs and he manged to get filthy again yesterday plying with a lovely lab. He had his 1st shower on Sunday (this he did not enjoy any more than his uncle tig does) - It is great to see the other pups on snoopy's website. Morse's ears still have not setled into one position yet.
Morse has settled in really quickly! I have Snoopy's littermate Meisterwerk Bruiser (Tig). Tig is such a lovely dog to work and live with, I am so glad to have had the chance to have as close a relation. Looking at his photos he looks as if he has the same very enthusiastic nature as Tig. Tig has done really well at working trials - 2 TD opens to date, so only TDex to go! Morse is loving the clicker and is very quick to learn (he is very greedy which is great!) He loves playing tuggy and enjoys carrying things about which is good.
