ABOUT CHESS
Chess is from our Reindeer litter (Spring x Logic) and is absolutely everything I could have hoped for when crossing this pair.
She follows in her Daddy Logic's lines with her smaller size, measuring at about 44cm at the withers and around 12.5kg. However, dont be fooled by the size as she has legs to die for! Physically she has excellent confirmation and structure, beautiful angulation and a long loin and neck. She has a perfect balance of power from Dad and crazy flat speed from Mum. Due to her confirmation she is exceptionally agile and can turn on a sixpence. Combining all of these things with that cheeky face and temperament there isnt much more we could want for in a sports line border collie.

Chess was born to work, she has an off switch and will happily chill out at home or at shows but she is never more at home than when she is doing something or simply just being outside in the garden - she has a real zest for life and takes every opportunity to have fun. She is incredibly smart and biddable but even better she wants to please and will try her best to figure out what you want. She has a beautifully balanced nature, happy to have cuddles but also happy in her own space making her very easy to live with.
Apart from matching ears ;) there isn't much else we would change about our fluffy pocket rocket!

SPORTS
Chess displays a wide range of attributes showing she can turn her paw to almost anything

Flyball - Chess measures as a 10" height dog and has a PB of 3.70 which she has hit multiple times.
She has a super body and incredible flat speed where she could easily see 3.5s as a 10" height dog however, frustratingly she doesn't have her Mums race to win attitude.
In her first season of racing in 2022 amongst many divisional wins she also helped her team win Div 2 Multibreed at the UKFL Champs.
At just 2 years old she competed at Crufts 2023 where she gained a 2nd and 5th place. 2023 was a busy year filled with many highs - she ran as the height dog and helped her team into the 14s for the first time. Chess was also part of the UKFL Outdoor winning team making her a UKFL Champion at just 2.5yrs old!
In 2024 Chess was back on the green carpet as part of Watsons Legacy where she helped her team to victory against the reigning World Champions. This meant she was a Crufts Flyball Champion at just 3 years old!! Also for 2024 Chess was back at the UKFL Championships where she gained another Div 2 win.
Chess qualified for Crufts in 2025 but wasn't able to go as she was becoming a Mum for the first time. This also saw her out of action for most of the season.
Alongside being back at Crufts for the 4th year in a row 2026 also she her have the opportunity to compete at the Flyball World Cup as part of team GB where she was incredible posting 3.7s over an inch higher than her usual height. 2026 also saw her back to winning at the UKFL Champs where she helped the team to a Div 5 victory.
Chess has qualified for Crufts 2027!
Chess has gained the UKFL Flying Officer Award (13,000 points) and the BFA Advanced Award (5,000 points).

Tricks - Chess is a natural when it comes to tricks and puts all her energy into them. She has gained several titles and the next stop is her Champion Title which we really need to crack on and get filmed for submission!

LITTERS
Chess has had one litter - The Transformers Litter
This was a purpose bred sports mix litter for flyball and boy oh boy what a litter it is turning out to be!
At 17 months old two have already qualified for Crufts and we have already seen consistent 3.3/4 second times!
These guys aren't just rapid though they have the most beautiful nature, they are friendly, fun, smart and keen to learn.
