ABOUT CHESS
Chess is from our Reindeer litter (Spring x Logic) and is absolutely everything I could have hoped for when crossing this pair.
She follows in her Daddy Logic's lines with her smaller size, measuring at about 44cm at the withers and around 12.5kg. However, dont be fooled by the size as she has legs to die for! Physically she has excellent confirmation and structure, beautiful angulation and a long loin and neck. She has a perfect balance of power from Dad and crazy flat speed from Mum. Due to her confirmation she is exceptionally agile and can turn on a sixpence. Combining all of these things with that cheeky face and temperament there isnt much more we could want for in a sports line border collie.

Chess was born to work, she has an off switch and will happily chill out at home or at shows but she is never more at home than when she is doing something or simply just being outside in the garden - she has a real zest for life and takes every opportunity to have fun. She is incredibly smart and biddable but even better she wants to please and will try her best to figure out what you want. She has a beautifully balanced nature, happy to have cuddles but also happy in her own space making her very easy to live with. 

Apart from matching ears ;) there isn't much else we would change about our fluffy pocket rocket!
 

SPORTS
Chess displays a wide range of attributes showing she can turn her paw to almost anything

Flyball - Chess has had a stonking start to her flyball career where she measures as a 10" height dog.
She has a current racing PB of 3.70 which she has hit multiple times.
We have a few tweaks to make in her technique before she is the finished product but she certainly shows the potential to see 3.5s times.
In her first season of racing in 2022 amongst many divisional wins she also helped her team win Div 2 Multibreed at the UKFL Champs.
At just 2 years old she competed at Crufts 2023 where she gained a 2nd and 5th place. 2023 was a busy year filled with many highs - she ran as the height dog and helped her team into the 14s for the first time. Chess was also part of the UKFL Outdoor winning team making her a UKFL Champion at just 2.5yrs old! 
In 2024 Chess was back on the green carpet as part of Watsons Legacy where she helped her team to victory against the reigning World Champions. This means she is now a Crufts Flyball Champion at just 3 years old!! Also for 2024 Chess was back at the UKFL Championships where she gained another divisional win in Div 2. 


Tricks - Chess is a natural when it comes to tricks and puts all her energy into them. She has gained the Novice, Novice Masters, Intermediate, Intermediate Masters, Advanced, Advanced Masters and Expert Trick Titles. One of our goals for the end of 2024 is to finally get filming for her Champion title.
