Flyte is a very small border collie, measuring at about 15" at the shoulder! She has a very foxy type face and even has the bark to match which she likes to show off rather too often. She has a lovely temperament playing with those who will play and being quiet and calm with those who don't. She loves people, especially children and has passed these qualities to her puppies, two of which are Therapy Dogs. She takes after her Dad and likes to sleep on the windowsill and she loves getting cuddles. Flyte is a very quick learner and being a small dog she has incredible balance and much prefers to spend her time on two feet instead of 4!
Flyte has now retired from flyball where she gained her BFA Platinum Award (25,000 points) and her UKFL Cadet Award (300 points). Over the years she proved to be a super 9" height dog, running consistently in the low 4 secs with a PB of 4.19. She absolutely loves Flyball and turns into a little crazed monster barking away and bouncing around as she waits for her turn to go.
Flyte has now retired from agility but proved herself to be a natural considering the limited training she received. She made her way into Champion Performance and Champion Steeplechase at UKA and also competed at the 2016 and 2017 UK Agility Grand Finals. She competed in Grade 6 at KC and had 2 wins towards Grade 7 where she has also gained her Bronze and Silver Agility Warrants.
Flyte is a natural sheepdog and has a lovely relaxed working style, unfortunately this isn't something we have been able to do much off over the years.
Flyte has always loved the water so when she got to try her hand at Dock Dogs it was no surprise that on her first go she qualified for the finals where she jumped a very impressive 12.06ft from a standing start.
Flyte has also been putting her skills to the test as a trick dog. She has gained her Novice, Intermediate, Advanced and Expert Trick Titles and will soon be working towards her Champion title. She has now also been awarded the Trick Dog Register of Merit (TD-ROM) Award for producing outstanding offspring in the sport of tricks.
Flyte has now had three stunning litters of puppies that are doing incredibly well in their chosen areas. Two have made superb Pets As Therapy dogs with one even being named PAT dog of the year 2017. Another held several records in flyball and was part of the European record holding team and British Multibreed record holding team. From her second litter we have multiple sub 4 second dogs competing at Crufts, cracking agility dogs with one already selected for team GB! Her last litter are also sub 4 second flyball dogs and amazing agility dogs with more team GB selected dogs.
Flytes adventures also include appearing on TV! She competed on BBC's Sport Relief Top Dog and made it to the Semi Finals. She was amazing and loved the adventure, she has even come away with her own celebrity followers.
