I am receiving a lot of enquiries for what are future breeding plans are so I thought I would give a brief outline of what we might have happening over the next few years. Of course lots of things will be subject to change with the young dogs and how they develop over time but hopefully this little bit of information will be helpful to those looking.

Epyc is from our pokemon litter - 'Autumn x Kenickie'
Leebeardream Fright Night x PSF A Hickie From Kenickie Epyc competes in flyball with Watsons Flyball Team. He has a PB of 3.51 which he runs multiple times a show and we expect to this drop to at least 3.4's He measures as 11". He measures approx 49/50cm at the withers and weighs 14kg. Sapphire is from our spaniel litter - 'Ruby x Buddy'
Dimnds N Ruby A Leebeardream x Tiptopjack Believe It Or Not. Sapphire competes in flyball with Watsons Flyball Team. She measures 7". She has a PB of 4.29 posted at 20m. Unfortunately she has been out of the lanes for a while but we do expect to see this drop to at least 4.1's when she returns after pups. She measures approx 35cm at the withers and weights 9kg. Pups will be cocker spaniel/border collie/whippet
Sapphire has now been mated and confirmed to be with pups.
Pups are due to be born mid August 2023.
We expect to see:
Black & White and Red & White pups
Short coated
Medium height (possible Intermediate height) for agility
8" - 11" for flyball
Pups would be KC Activity registered as Crossbreeds
The primary reason for this pairing is to produce a sports mix height dog for flyball (or medium agility dog). With any cross there are unknowns though! I am far more certain on the pups potential as flyball height dogs based on the measuring processes. Based on the agility measuring system it is likely that some pups would be medium and others intermediate.
We have produced some incredible Cocker x Collies in the past using these lines and as such have a good idea of what the outcome of this cross will be. From the cocker x collie pairings we have seen height dogs ranging from 8-10" on an ulna measure. However, with the addition of the whippet this could increase this range from 8-11". For agility there have been a mix of medium and intermediate height dogs and we expect to see the same here.
Sapphire has a far better structure than her Mum Ruby who was used for the cocker x collies. She is longer in the body and slightly longer in the leg but has the same overall height, good angulation and is lighter framed. Her 'thing' is natural speed! Inside the lanes she is a typical crazy working cocker and gives her all but at home she has an off switch. She is bombproof, keen to learn and loves a cuddle.
Epyc as a 3/4 collie and 1/4 whippet has a good structure with better angulation in the front than a full whippet. He of course has exceptional speed but he is also naturally powerful. He is also a nice size for a border whippet mix and his Mum is a 10" height dog (not much out of medium). He measures as an 11" height dog on an Ulna measure for flyball. At home he is super lazy and is happy to sleep most of the day in his cave bed but once that adrenaline flows this boy lights up in the lanes. He is very keen to work, handles pressure well and definitely has the collie brain.
From this mix I am hoping to see lighter frames than our collie/cocker mixes. Speed. Brains. Drive. Work ethic. Stamina, Outgoing. Confident. Have solid temperaments. Agile. Personality. Character.
And lets face it a little bit of crazy as we are talking about a working cocker mix!!

Inch is a working sheepdog bred by the fabulous kennels at Scalpsie. He is owned and trained by Paul Johnson a multi time sheepdog competitor at international level for England.
